AstroSoft Opens Up Spanish-Speaking Territory

25 October 2011
First days of October AstroSoft Company spent in sunny Spain. The reason for this was an annual international exhibition of professional services and solutions in ICT SIMO NETWORK. Traditionally it took place at the Exhibition Center Feria de Madrid.

That's what sources report about the forum:

SIMO Network is a specialized business exhibition offering a variety of IT-solutions and services for large corporations, small and medium businesses operating in different economic fields. The event is the largest and the most representative forum in the field of computer science, multimedia and telecommunications on Spanish-speaking territorial area, which includes Spain and Latin America.

This year the exhibition has been visited by many large corporations, including CISCO, Conetic, Codine, HP, Inology, Lenovo, Intel, VOIP @ DAY. The Russian exposition was formed under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science. There was organized the demonstration of domestic innovations and technologies in the field of ICT. Our country was represented by the International Center of Informatics and Electronics InterEVM, Russian Telemedicine Association, Technopark "Sarov", Geophysical Center, IT-Park, the Republic of Tatarstan, AstroSoft etc.

The Russian Ambassador in Spain Alexander I. Kuznetsov made a speech before the seminar-presentation of Russian achievements. In his speech (that was really fluent Spanish) Ambassador spoke about the prospects and value of cooperation between both countries. In particular Mr. Kuznetsov noted that the interest of Spain and Russia in the field of innovation is quite similar. Countries already have several ready-to-implement projects in the field of ICT and even in the space industry. Spain and Russia have much to learn from each other, and exchange of experience will serve for the high-tech's further development.

Work at the exhibition was intensive all day long and subsided only during siesta time. This tradition is still followed by most of Spaniard. We should mention extremely warm and friendly atmosphere in which the Russian delegation was working. Seemed that Spaniard perceiving Russia as an "eternal cold country, where everybody speaks difficult language" (as joked one of the visitors) tried to warm up poor Russians. Despite not enough developed relations between our countries and the European economic crisis, Russian delegation felt a heightened interest of Spanish business to the Russian market. At the same time, many Spanish businessmen emphasized some difficulties that they face while entering a new market. And one of the most significant is the lack of reliable partners who know the particularities of Russian business environment.

This is a crucial factor for new area’s successful development. However, as a representative of a Spanish consulting company complained, “to find a partner is not as easy though we have quite many proposals”. But still cooperation is possible and there are examples of this. Such happy-end stories were represented by AstroSoft Company. AstroSoft has considerable experience in the automation of foreign companies in Russia.

AstroSoft’s stand attracted heightened attention of the visitors by its bright matreshka’s symbolism. The traditional Russian souvenir served not only as an ornament, but also carried a deep meaning. As you know, toys are put one into another. Each of matreshka represents a business process that AstroSoft automates and integrates into the biggest doll, that is, a corporate information system. This structure also represents a network of subsidiaries under the head office since AstroSoft’s specialists know how to adjust data transfer between the affiliates and headquarter.

AstroSoft made a presentation "Software for small and medium businesses. Services for subsidiaries of foreign companies in Russia". Company told about the main difficulties that foreign corporations face while entering the Russian market. Moreover AstroSoft demonstrated ready-to-use solutions. This question seemed to be relevant for the audience: the last time it is felt a noticeable revival of bilateral economic relations. Traditionally Spanish business was presented on Russian market in such areas like agriculture, industrial goods and services, consumer goods. But now a new area appeared - production of automotive components. This information was given to AstroSoft’s representative by the counselor of NC SESLA Tatyana Mashkova. Moreover, Tatyana was interested in AstroSoft’s competences and invited our company to join the NC SESLA and Russian-Chilean Trade Council in order to support organizations from these regions to enter Russian market.

Remarkable that AstroSoft had to make the presentation twice: in front of the wide audience and personally to the director of SAPRIDA Corporation Eduardo Saprida who was interested in our company’ developments. Now companies have been discussing possibilities for further cooperation.
